It's not everyday you get to flash back 50 years. The Hamborg crew got to experience just such a time warp riding our classic longboards around and thru the Huntington Beach Classic Car Show, and it felt like the boards we were riding belonged right there. Hamboards may not have 50 years of existence under its belt but we somehow are throwbacks to that same era. All our boards have a unique blend of modern performance with a retro look and feel, made for classic surf-style skateboard riding.
Just a normal day of wave sliding and pavement riding with the Hamboard crew, using the longboards that make the transition between skate and surf seamless.
Looking back I definitely would have worn some shoes (and a helmet) for the whole Lombard street thing. Those bricks were sharp. At this time in my life I had only made it up to The City maybe once before. So while everyone was staring at a giant surfboard on wheels, I was taking in the beauty of the place and trying not to kill myself going around blind corners. It's time to get back up here. I'm pretty sure they have repaved that whole area around Fort Point.

Strange things happen when you are landlocked. When deprived of oceans and waves sometimes we can resort to extreme measures. I found myself in one such situation while attending a school up in Northern California. Turns out the Sacramento River is pretty cold. -Gus Hamborg
Time warp back to the early days. Back before any of the smaller boards, before we used bamboo and before any of us had discovered what a hair cut was, we were riding the Classics and having a great time.
If you haven't heard, the Huntington Hop could very well be the best new cruiser out there.
Every year Main St. Huntington Beach shuts down for a Classic Car show. We mobbed down to Hamboard in the whee hours of the morning before the crowds flocked in. I don't think we've ever felt more at home in our own city as when riding our Classic Longboard Skateboards with these epic Classic cars.
